The Hofbræhaus

The world-famous Hofbræhaus was somewhere that I have always wanted to visit.  When I was much younger, a friend returned from a trip to Germany with stories of the fabulous fest hall and the Oompah band.

My expectations were met when I visited the historic location on my first night in Munich.  The main hall though was more for beer drinking than true feasting.  I enjoyed a beer there and then went upstairs for the meal.

The upstairs portion of the Hofbræhaus was a dining room setting more conducive to eating.   The sausage sampler was delicious with three different varieties and a generous helping of sauerkraut.  The food was great, however, the service was brusque.   The experience was great and now, I too can say that I ate at The Hofbræhaus.
