The Albergo Firenze was my home in Florence for the four months that I lived there.  I have nothing but great things to say about the albergo.  Everyone that worked there was friendly and all of my friends there were also a lot of fun.

The hotel is located smack in the middle of the city exactly between the Duomo and the Piazza della Signoria.  Looking out the window above my dresser in my room yielded a perfect view of the Duomo's coppola.   The sounds of church bells echoing from Giotto's campanile could be heard throughout the day and night and the central location of the hotel allowed me to walk almost anywhere in the city easily.

The Albergo housed a lot of memories of Florence and many of my friends from the program group.  The breakfast of rolls, coffee, and orange juice was almost a religious gathering for us.  The rolls are so tasty (even on Sunday, when they are not perfectly fresh).  I would usually wake up about a half-hour early just so I could enjoy my rolls, coffee, juice, and conversation.  At our last breakfast together, we all got together one last time.  In the club (clockwise from upper left): Steph, Laurie, Kathy, Suzanne (our advisor), Maggie, Gabby, and Dave.  Also at the hotel was my other roommate, Manny, who usually slept in too late for breakfast.
