Ristorante Sempione

In Venice, I wanted something of a nice, elegant dinner Italian style, but on my past two visits I ended up dining at touristy locations specializing in International food prepared not so well.  When the Program Group came on our trip, I asked the Director, Dr. Carrabino, for a nice restaurant that fit my criteria.  He recommended the Restaurant Sempione.
Sempione was a delicious meal served by some of the friendliest waiters in Italy.  The seafood dishes were spectacular and the atmosphere superb.  While on the upper end of the price scale (as is all of Venice), Sempione was not overpriced and the dishes were extremely large.  One of the nicest aspects of the restaurant is that it is right on the canals.  While dining, we watched other tourists glide by in gondolas.
